Local travel agency WWPKG (縱橫遊) has proposed to change its English name and Chinese name to ‘‘Flydoo Technology Holding” and 飛道旅遊科技 respectively.

According to the company, the proposed rebrand aims to provide the company with a new corporate image which will enable the group to better identify itself and capture potential business opportunities for its future development.

The change of the company name will not affect any of the rights of the shareholders and the trading of the shares of the company on the stock exchange. After the change of company name has become effective, any new issue of share certificates of the company will be issued in the new English name and Chinese name of the company.

Meanwhile, its executive director Yuen Chun Ning (袁振寧) has resigned as the chairman of the Board due to work adjustment, with effect from 3 October 2023. He will remain to serve as an executive director, the chief executive officer and an authorised representative of the company.

The group said it will make its best endeavours to identify suitable candidates for the appointment of chairman. “During Yuen’s tenure of office as the chairman and an executive Director, Yuen was diligent and responsible. The board would like to express its sincere gratitude to Yuen for his valuable contribution to the development of the company during his term of office as the chairman and welcome Yuen to continue serving the company as an executive director,” it said.

The current executive directors of the group are Yuen and Shawlain Ahmin, whereas the independent non-executive directors include Lee Kwong Ming, Leung Ka Cheong and Wong Ping Kuen.
