Booking.com picks global star to front new campaign

Digital travel company Booking.com has named global star Eric Nam as the campaign ambassador for its 2023 Explorers campaign. Nam was chosen because of his known individuality and innate curiosity, which are also the values that inspired the campaign's direction.

The 2023 Explorers campaign will feature Nam at the heart of Asia as he explores and embraces the different culturally rich cities of Hoi An, Vietnam and Bangkok, Thailand. The campaign will present a series of short films, highlighting Nam’s passion for exploration and aiming to help audiences reimagine how they see the world.

“Learning about other cultures fuels my creativity and curiosity, and helps me take on fresh perspectives,” said Nam. “I’m honoured to be a part of Booking.com’s 2023 Explorers campaign, and I hope to inspire more people to fearlessly embrace different ways of seeing the world, he added.

The global star also took to his personal Instagram to promote the campaign. The feature included a teaser of one of the episodes. 

This collaboration reinforces Booking.com's commitment to making it easier for everyone to experience the world, aiming to highlight how effortless it is to embark on these journeys via the Booking.com platform and encourage its audience to stay open to fresh and creative ways of and to unlock their sense of adventure.

We’re thrilled to partner Eric Nam on this campaign, and can’t wait to share how he travels his way,” said Laura Houldsworth, managing director for the APAC region. 

With this campaign, Booking.com aims to promote the idea of responsible travel, allowing travellers access to more sustainable choices, whilst reducing their environmental impact in the destinations they visit.

Many travel companies like Booking.com have recently launched online campaigns to promote different kinds of travel. Just last week, Pan Pacific Hotels Group launched a global influencer campaign to inspire experiential travel.  Titled the “#YoursToDiscover campaign”, it showcases the range of experiences offered by the Group through the eyes of invited international content collaborators.

Whether it is enjoying the luxurious ambience of the hotel or exploring its vibrant locales, these guests had free rein to decide how they could benefit from a set amount of money they were given.
